App Store - SmartMod™
SmartMod™ from EMC Insurance Companies makes it easy to analyze and improve your or your client’s workers’ compensation experience modification factor or “mod.” Just enter data from the Experience Rating Worksheet or download experience rating data securely from EMC* and let SmartMod perform the calculations for you. The app:
• Calculates the current experience mod, minimum mod, controllable portion of the mod, and the estimated impact of loss increases and decreases on the overall mod
• Provides loss control recommendations to help you reduce the overall mod
• Allows a mod analysis to be saved and opened for later review
• Allows the output and recommendations to be sent by email with an option to include user-entered notes regarding the analysis
SmartMod was designed to help you analyze your experience modification factor anytime, anywhere. It works best if you already have a working knowledge of the formula and how to interpret the results. SmartMod can be used in all NCCI and independent rating bureau states. For more information about experience rating, contact your workers’ compensation insurance carrier or visit www.ncci.com.
You can email successes, suggestions, problems or questions about the SmartMod app to losscontrol@emcins.com.
*In order to download experience rating data, you must be an EMC agent.
